Safety modules monitor the state of external switches and contacts, and by using 2 input channels with a microprocessor based control ensure the the integrity of the external switches. In the event of the 2 channels giving different outputs, the module will turn its outputs into their safe state and require that the switches are returned to the off state before allowing a reset of the module.
